Probably some of you remember Elephone P3000S, because it’s a device, which packs some serious power. It comes with an octa-core processor, 2GB RAM, 16 ROM, 4G enabled, Gorilla Glass 3, fingerprint scanner, big 3150mAh battery and 13MP camera. And all this is just for less than $150. Sounds great, right ? Looks like Elephone thinks that there’s a place for more improvements. They are going to release an upgraded version with 3GB RAM soon, but that’s not all.
The new Elephone P3000s looks exactly the same as its predecessor (which actually is just 2 months old). It has the same measures 145 mm x 72 mm x 8.9 mm and the same weight as well – 149 grams. Basically this is the exact same phone in terms of the outlook. It has a fingerprints scanner placed on the back, too. But let’s talk more about the differences.
The upgraded Elephone P3000s comes with 1GB more RAM – 3 GB RAM total. At the same time the phone has one of the newest MTK processors – MTK6752. It’s an octa-core 64-bit processor clocked at 1.4GHz. The GPU is upgraded as well and now the phone is equipped with the powerful Mali-T760 (the same, which runs on Samsung Galaxy Note 4). This should deliver great user experience on the 5-ich screen behind the Gorilla Glass 3, which by the way is pimped as well. The display’s resolution is increased from 720 x 1280 to 1920 x 1280 pixels.
There are a few changes to the camera as well. Again we have an 8MP main camera unit on the back (interpolated to 13MP) and 2 MP front camera (interpolated to 5MP). The new Elephone P3000s comes with a Sony sensor and F2.2 aperture. Sounds promising.
Of course you can’t expect that the price can remain the same, when you have half of the hardware specifications upgraded. The new Elephone P3000s with 3GB RAM starts selling for a little bit less than $200. Currently you can buy it at PandaWill.com. The phone is pre-selling and will be shipped at 10.04.2015.
