LANDVO is not one of the names that we hear very often. The company actually is focused mainly on cloned devices with mid-range specifications for competitive price. So if you are looking for cheap Chinese smartphone, which looks like let’s say OnePlus One, then you can try a phone made by Landvo. Although the company definitely is trying to copy other manufacturers’ designs, some people still prefer a $100 Galaxy-S5-looking device instead of just some ordinary not so interested design. Anyway it seems that the company is trying to offer some devices in the higher market segment. LANDVO L600 Pro has specifications, which are more than a mid-range phone can offer you.
First let’s start with the interesting part. LANDVO L600 Pro will skip KitKat and will come directly equipped with Android Lollipop 5.0. We saw lots of Chinese smartphones promising Android 5.0, but all of them are coming with KitKat and promise a future update (hopefully).
Probably you already noticed the design. It looks a little bit familiar and has some taste of Huawei Ascend Mate 7 (and actually almost the same as the newly released Axgio Neon N3). LANDVO L600 Pro comes in a metal body and just 8.4 mm thickness. Seems that the guys at LANDVO put some efforts in this area. The exact dimensions are 71.1 mm x 143.5 mm x 8.4 mm and it weights 160 gr, which actually is pretty good for a big metal phone.
The phone has a large 5.5-inch display, which unfortunately is just with HD resolution (720 x 1280). This gives a density of 267 ppi, which is not so bad and still should be enough to enjoy decent image quality, because the screen is IPS.
The LANDVO L600 Pro will be equipped with a Mediatek’s 64-bit MT6752 octa-core processor clocked at 1.7Ghz, so you should not worry about the performance. Android 5.0 should unleash the full power capacity of the 64-bit chip. Moving to the other specs, there will be 2GB RAM and 16GB of expandable (up to 64GB) internal storage. Forget about any issues with the multitasking. Mali-T760 will take care of the graphics.
Of course there are two cameras on board – 13MP rear camera (with Sony IMX135 Exmor RS sensor) and 5MP front shooter.
Here are more good news. The phone will be 4G enabled. The exact broadband frequencies are GSM 850/900/1800/1900 WCDMA 900/1900/2100 FDD-LTE 800/1800/2100/2600. LANDVO L600 Pro supports dual sim standby with one mini sim (normal) and one micro sim.
At the end you can add a 2500mAh battery, which should be enough to take through one day of use even with octa-core processor combined with 5.5-inch screen.
The phone is still not officially released and is in pre-sale phase. The price is questionable. Some websites announced the phone with a price around $150, but the actual price listed at the moment with some online retailers is more than $200. We are still to see how much the exact price of LANDVO L600 Pro will be set to.
